A private one-day safari in Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem of Tanzania known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Made for travellers with limited time who still want a real African safari, the park offers diverse wildlife, varied landscapes and fewer crowds than other parks. Look out for tree-climbing pythons and the seasonal wildlife movement along the Tarangire River.
Early-morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi and a 2–3 hour drive past Maasai villages and countryside. Enter the park for the morning game drive among the baobabs and along the river — elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and antelopes. Picnic lunch at a designated site in the park, then an afternoon drive in other areas with a higher chance of predators. In the late afternoon, drive back to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi.
