Overview
The Rongai Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the northern side, offering a quieter, drier, and less crowded experience.
The 7-day itinerary is structured for gradual acclimatization, following the “climb high, sleep low” principle to improve summit success.
Rongai Route features beautiful landscapes including savannah-like zones, moorland, and alpine desert. Its northern approach provides unique views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks.

■ June – October: Cooler, dry, perfect for trekking and photography
Avoid: April–May and November due to rain and slippery trails
