Mandara Hut Route – Mount Kilimanjaro Rainforest Experience

Early Morning :

Pick-Up & Transfer

You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi and driven to Marangu Gate (1,870m), the main entry point to Mount Kilimanjaro National Park.

Morning :

Registration & Rainforest Hike

After completing park formalities, begin your guided hike through the tropical rainforest. The trail is well-maintained and suitable for most fitness levels. Along the way, spot blue monkeys and black-and-white colobus monkeys, as well as diverse birdlife.

Midday :

Mandara Hut & Picnic Lunch

Arrive at Mandara Hut (2,700m) and enjoy a packed picnic lunch. For those who wish, take a short walk to the Maundi Crater for stunning views of northern Tanzania and Kenya.

Afternoon :

Descent & Return

Descend back to Marangu Gate and transfer to your hotel, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.
