Pick-up from Mwanza airport and check into a lodge on the lakefront. Chill with cold drinks and watch fishermen in wooden dhows.
Catch a speedboat to Rubondo Island National Park — Tanzania’s lake jungle gem. Afternoon boat safari among hippos, crocs, and forest elephants. Sleep in a wild jungle camp.
Return from Rubondo and transfer to a Sukuma cultural center. Dance, music, and drumming ceremonies around the fire with the local elders.
Head north to Musoma. Explore local fishing villages, learn how to cast nets, and visit a coastal market. Try grilled tilapia on banana leaves.
Drive into the rarely visited western side of Serengeti. Game drive along the Grumeti River, looking for lions, crocs, and hippos. Overnight in mobile camp or riverside lodge.
Explore vast plains with wildebeest migration (seasonal), hyenas, vultures, and golden grassland. Optional walking safari in buffer zones.
Exit Serengeti and return to the lake. Enjoy a final sunset boat ride, private dinner on the shoreline. Overnight in luxury lakeside lodge.
