Start your trek through dense rainforest to Machame Camp. First taste of altitude!
Climb steep ridges with killer views, leaving the forest behind. Camp above the clouds.
Hike up to 4,600m at Lava Tower, then descend to Barranco for acclimatization.
Conquer the epic Barranco Wall! Short scenic hike with breathtaking rock climbs.
Trek through alpine desert to base camp. Early dinner — midnight summit push incoming!
Summit day! Reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise, the roof of Africa. Then descend to Mweka Camp.

It’s more challenging than Marangu but doable with fitness and support
The Machame Route is considered moderately difficult. It’s more scenic and challenging than the Marangu Route, but it offers better altitude acclimatization and a higher success rate.
You’ll be camping in high-quality, weatherproof tents provided by our team. Sleeping bags and mats can be rented if you don’t bring your own.
